Last updated: August 1, 2026 · Applies to the 54Clock time clock application
54Clock is a private employee time clock and payroll-support tool operated for our shop.
It is not a public consumer service. Only authorized people may use it.
Who this policy covers
This policy describes how we handle information when you use 54Clock (including signing in
with Google and using the time clock, PTO, and admin features).
Information we collect
Google account information — When you sign in with Google, we receive
your Google account email address and basic profile information (such as display name)
needed to identify you and allow access.
Employment and allowlist data — Names, work-related email addresses,
roles, active status, and optional hourly rates that administrators configure so the app
knows who may sign in and how payroll estimates are calculated.
Time and attendance data — Clock-in and clock-out times, manual time
entries, notes, overtime-related calculations, paid/unpaid status, and related history.
PTO and holiday data — PTO balances and usage, and holiday settings used
for scheduling and reporting.
Technical session data — Session cookies and similar technical data needed
to keep you signed in securely while you use the app.
How we use the information
Authenticate users and enforce the employee allowlist
Record and display work time, overtime, PTO, and related summaries
Support payroll preparation (including reports, PDFs, and admin tools)
Operate, secure, and improve the application for our shop
We do not sell your personal information.
Google Sign-In
54Clock uses Google OAuth only for sign-in and identity (email/profile). We do not use your
Google account to read your Gmail, Drive, or other Google products unless you separately
authorize something else outside this app. Google’s own practices are described in the
Google Privacy Policy.
Who can access the data
You can see your own time and related information in the app.
Shop administrators (people designated as admins in 54Clock) can manage employees,
settings, PTO, holidays, and payroll-related views needed to run the business.
Data is stored on systems we operate or control for this shop (for example, our
application server and database). Backups may be stored in services we configure
(such as a private backup destination).
Retention
We keep time and payroll-related records as long as needed for shop operations, legal,
tax, or accounting purposes, or until an administrator removes or archives them according
to our internal practices.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect access (including sign-in requirements and
administrative controls). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Children
54Clock is intended for authorized adult employees and shop administrators. It is not
directed at children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change
when we do. Continued use of 54Clock after an update means you accept the revised policy.
